The Auto Polarization option will cut your measurement time in half by measuring both polarities at each data point. It will also greatly reduce the possibility of errors in your data since the AUT will be in the exact same location instead of measuring it in a separate scan, where you run the risk of the AUT being in a slightly different location. Alternatively, this option will allow you to run two scans back to back, first examining the horizontal polarity followed by an examination of the vertical polarity (or vice versa). This can all be accomplished while automatically calculating the gain simultaneously.
